Since 2004, she has also been a Member of the state party committee for the SPÖ. In addition, Brigitte has been the Deputy district leader of the Social Democratic Party since 2005 and the Chairwoman of the District Weiz since 2007. As of 2013, Brigitte Bierbauer-Hartinger is a Member of the National Women's Board of the Austrian Social Democratic Party.

Brigitte Bierbauer-Hartinger, born on April 11, 1961 in Feldbach, is an Austrian politician for the SPÖ (Sozialdemokratische Partei Österreichs; the Austrian Social Democratic Party). She is a Member of the Federal Council since 2013.

Political Career[edit]

From 1979 until 1983, Brigitte Bierbauer-Hartinger was a Member of the Young Generation of the Social Democratic Party for the district Feldbach. Since 2000, she has been municipal councillor in the municipality Sinabelkirchen. From 2005-2010, Brigitte was a congregation member of the board in Sinabelkirchen. Since 2004, she has also been a Member of the state party committee for the SPÖ. In addition, Brigitte has been the Deputy district leader of the Social Democratic Party since 2005 and the Chairwoman of the District Weiz since 2007.
