Boris Blažeković

Boris Blažeković was born on 24 February 1955 in Zagreb, Croatia. He has been a member of the Croatian People's Party - Liberal Democrats (Croatian: Hrvatska Narodna Stranka) since 1990 and a member of the Croatian Parliament (Hrvatski sabor) since 2011.

Political Career

Blažeković was working as the Official PR Manager of the Croatian People's Party - Liberal Democrats between 2000 and 2005. In 2005 he established The Croatian People's Party's Political Academy with the intention of educating its party members working in the local and regional self-government units. His parliamentary mandate in the Croatian Parliament began in December 2011. His parliamentary functions consist of being a member of the Defence Committee, the Committee on Human and National Minority Rights, the War Veterans Committee, the Interparliamentary Co-operation Committee, and the Committee on Information, Computerisation and the Media. Since February 2012 he has been elected by the Croatian Parliament to serve as the head of the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the NATO.

Education

Blažeković finished Secondary School of Traffic Engineering in Zagreb.
