Beatrice Ask

Beatrice Ask was born on the 20th of April 1956 in Sveg, Sweden. She is a member of the Swedish parliament representing the Moderate Party.

Political Career

Ask started her political career within the youth organisation for the Moderate Party called Moderata Ungdomsförbundet (MUF). She was the chairman of MUF between 1984-1988. After that Beatrice Ask was the school commissioner in Stockholm until 1991. In 1991 she was elected in to the parliament and became a member of the Commission of Education. For three years she was the Minister of School (1991-1994). After the elections in 1994 she stayed as a member of parliament and was a deputy in the Commission of Education. In 2002 Beatrice Ask changed to the Commission of Justice instead and was a deputy there until 2006. When the Moderate Party in 2006 formed a coalition government with the orther Right-parties Beatrice Ask was elected the Minister of Law. She stayed as the minister until 2014 when the Socialdemocrats formed the government instead.

Education

Beatrice Ask has studied the international economic program at Uppsala University, but she never graduated.
