Antonio Gutiérrez Limones

Antonio Gutiérrez Limones born in Alcalá de Guadaira (Sevilla) on the 6th January 1963, is a Spanish senator for the constituency of Sevilla for the 10th term. He is a member of the Socialist Worker’s Party.

Political Career

Antonio Gutiérrez Limones was elected as senator for the first time in the 9th term. During the current term, he is the acting Deputy Speaker of the Socialist Group in the Senate; he is also a titular member of the Standing Committee, vice-spokesman of the local entities Commission and member of the Spanish delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly in the Council of Europe. Before becoming a senator he was the Mayor of Alcalá de Guadaira, a position he still holds (1999- ). At the regional level, he was a provincial deputy of the Provincial Delegation of Sevilla (1995-1999) and vice-president of the same department (1999-2003). Since 2004, Antonio Gutiérrez Limones is also a member of the PSOE’s Federal Committee.

Education

José Antonio Gutiérrez Limones did his preparatory studies and college in the USA. After that he returned to Spain and graduated with a degree in Law for the University of Sevilla. He holds a MA in Local development for the same university and another MA in Business Management for the IESE. Nowadays, José Antonio Gutiérrez Limones coordinates different national and international seminars in the field of strategic planning, economy and local development.
