Anke Rehlinger born April 6, 1976 in Wadern, is a German politician (SPD). She was from the Saarland Minister for Justice and Minister for the Environment and Consumer Protection in the cabinet Kramp-carts Bauer II, before she moved to the post of Minister of Economy, Labour, Energy and Transport. She is also Deputy Prime Minister of Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer

Political Career[edit]

Rehlinger has been an SPD member since 1998. In Merzig-Wadern she was county chairman of women in the SPD from 2002 to 2010, and county chairman of the party since 2006. She was also chairman of the SPD-City Association in Wadern from 2005 to 2010. From 2003 to 2007 she was Deputy Young Socialist state chairman.

She was a member of the Ortsrat Nunkirchen city council from 2000 to 2012. From April 2011 to May 2012 Rehlinger was deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in the Saarland. Since 2013 she has been deputy state chairman of the SPD Saar.

In May 2012, she was appointed Minister of Justice and Minister for Environment and Consumer Protection.

Education[edit]

She attended the Peter-Wust-Gymnasium in Merzig. She went on to study Law at the University of Saarland, graduating in 2000. After a postgraduate course at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer, she completed legal. .
