Anglo American plc is the world´s largest platinum producer and one of the leading mining companies. In 1999 Anglo American merged with Minorco and they formed Anglo American plc. It produces not only platinum, but also copper, zinc, diamonds, iron ore and etc. The company has 3 main activities: exploring; mining and processing;  technology development. Anglo American spent 200 million dollars last year on an exploration for natural resources in 18 countries. The technology development means, that the company is conducting research and involving technology to make their activities more effective.
