Education

Angeles González-Sinde obtained her Masters Degree in Cinema Scriptwriting at the AFI Conservatory in Los Angeles, California and a Bachelor Degree in Classics at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain.

Career

Angeles González-Sinde served as President of the Spanish Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences AACCE and received numerous awards for her contributions to the film industry including: the Goya Award for Best Original Screenplay for La buena estrella (1997), the Goya Award for Best New Director for La suerte dormida (2003), the Prize Turia for Best New Work for La suerte dormida (2003), and the XX Festival de Cine Español de Málaga for Best Script for Heroína (2005). She served as Minister of Culture in Spain from 2009 until 2011.
