Andreas Xanthos (Greek: Ανδρέας Ξανθός, born in Rethymnon, Greece) is a Greek politician and microbiologist. He serves as a Member of the Hellenic Parliament at the Prefecture of Rethymnon, Crete.

Political Career[edit]

He was first elected as a member of the Hellenic Parliament in 2012, at the prefecture of Rethymnon with the SYRIZA Party. He served as Secretary of the SIN (Greek: ΣΥΝ) Commission of Rethymnon Prefecture and a member of the KPE (Greek: ΚΠΕ). He participated in the 2006 regional elections with the Alternative Movement of Citizens in the 2009 parliamentary elections as a candidate of SYRIZA. In October 2010 he was a candidate as a Deputy Regional Director of the Rethymnon Prefecture with the combination Radical Cooperation Crete.
