In 1996 he placed candidature for Prefect and he claimed the parliamentary rank in 1996 and 2000. From 2000 to 2004 he was a member of the New Democracy Parliamentary Work Groups concerning Public Order and Justice. In 2010, serving as Assistant Secretary for Administration, he was elected member of the Political Committee. In September 2007 he was elected Member of Parliament (MP) Viotias, a member of the Cultural Affairs Committee - the Prison System - and the Preliminary Road Safety committee. He is currently a member of the Standing Committee on Public Administration, Public Order and Justice, the Committee on the Monitoring of the Social Security System, the permanent Committee specialized on the Environment Protection and the multi-partisan Committee for the claiming of German Compensations
