Jean-Paul Amoudry was born in 1950 in Sérraval, Upper-Savoy. He is a qualified lawyer.

Political Career[edit]

Jean-Paul Amoudry is a member of the Senate of France representing the Union of Democrats and Independents, he was elected for the first time in 1995 and then again in 2004, for the constituency of Upper-Savoy. He is a member of the Commission on Social Affairs, member of the Study Board on Hunting and Fishing, Energy, Mountains Economic Development, member of the French Justice Court, member of the Common Mission on the access to administrative documents and public data. Jean-Paul Amoudry is also General Councillor for Upper-Savoy and Vice-President of the National Commission on IT and Freedom
