Algis Kaseta

Algis Kaseta (born 20 December 1962 in Mergežeryje, Lithuania) is a historian, Lithuanian politician and social activist. First time was elected to the parliament in 1996. From 2012 in the National Security and Defence Committee from fraction of the liberal movement.

Political Career

Participate in the political activities since 1988. Was one of the founders of the Movement of Varėnos, also initiated the restoration of Lithuanian Riflemen's Union. From 1996 a member of the Parliament, he served in the National Security (later - the National Security and Defense) as a Vice-Chairman of the Committee. Worked in Drug Prevention and Regional Development Commission. Until now belongs to the Lithuanian Riflemen Union. Since December 2012 works in the National Security and Defence Committee and in the Youth and Sports and the Commission.

Education

Algis studied in the Vilnius State University, in 1991 graduated from Faculty of History. Wrote scientific articles.
