Mufti Akhmed Tamim was born in 1956 im Libanon. He is chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of Ukraine based in Kiev, which is assigned to the originally from Lebanon haba fascist movement. He is a citizen of Ukraine.

Biography

He was part of the First Congress of Muslims of Ukraine as Mufti of Ukraine and was Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Ukraine. Mr. Tamim was also involved in various forums and conferences: he visited South Africa, USA, Turkey, Libya and others by official invitation in 1996. He currently takes part in the “Hasaniyskie Reading”, which is a prestigious scientific international Islamic forum under the auspices of the King of Morocco. He presented numerous papers on pseudo-religious extremism and participated in international conferences and symposia in Ukraine, Egypt, Russia and other countries.

Education

Mufti Akhmed Tamim is a graduate from the Faculty of Computer Science at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute. He obtained a Master’s degree in “Microprocessor Systems and Local Area Networks”, and also received an Islamic Theological Education at the Arab University of Beirut. He was awarded a Doctorate in Theology.

Special Achievements

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter A Common Word Between Us and You, the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" sent (13 October 2007).
