Aivar Riisalu (born 13th of March 1961 in Märjamaal) is an Estonian singer, politician and businessman.

Political career

He was a member of the Estonian Rural People's Community from 1993 to 1996, and member of the Centre Party from 1996 to 2014. On 7th of September 2014 he joined the Centre Party, which then joined Union of Pro Patria and Res Publica party on September 8th. Riisalu was an MP for Parliament XI, by accessing the European Parliament as an alternate member to MEP Siiri Oviir. In 2011, Riisalu became a member of the Parliament XII.

Education

He graduated from the Tallinn Polytechnical Institute in 1984 as an economist.

Special achievements

In 2006, participated in the Riisalu show "Dancing with the Stars," where his partner in the competition was professional dancer Kristina Tennokese. They reached 4th place in the competition.
