María del Carmen Silva Rego (born 26 November 1960) is a Spanish Politician.

Political Career

Silva Rego has been a MP for the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE) from Pontevedra, Galiza, for two terms, from 1996 to 2000 and since 2011. She was Vice-Secretary General of the Local Group of the PSOE in Vigo. She was Parliamentary Advisor at the Ministry of Agriculture. Moreover, Silva Rego was councillor of Urbanism in Vigo (Galiza) and Deputy Mayor. She was Senator in the 9th term.

Education

Silva Rego has BAs in Economic Law and in Special Education.
