Véronique Waroux is a Belgian politician, born on the 8th of April 1969. She is a member of the Walloon Centre démocrate humaniste (cdH) party (former Parti social chrétien (PSC)) Since 2014 she has been a senator and an MP in both the Walloon Parliament and the Parliament of the French Community.

Political career

In 2006 she became alderwoman and councillor of the City of Péruwelz. She was the first woman to hold this office. She was alderwoman until 2012, but she is still a councillor there. She became a member of the cdH and as representative of this party she was elected for both the Walloon Par-liament and the Parliament of the French Community. Her party also made her a senator in 2014.

Education

She graduated in civil engineering from the University of Mons in 1993.
