Jaroslav Klaška (born on June 28, 1962) is a Czech Christian Democratic Party (KDU-CSL) politician. Since October 2013, Klaška has served as a Member of the Chamber of Deputies for the Czech Republic.

Klaška is also the Mayor of Slapanice and has held that position since 2006.

Education[edit]

Klaška graduated from the Central School of Civil Engineering in Brno. He also attended the University of Technology in Brno, in the Faculty of Architecture.

Political career[edit]

Jaroslav Klaška began his political career when he was elected to Slapanice City Council in 2002.

In November 2006, he succeeded as the leader of the KDU-CSL in the municipal election and became mayor of city of Slapanice. In subsequent municipal elections in 2010, he was elected again and continued his mandate as Mayor of the city.

In the elections to the Chamber of Deputies in 2013, he ran in the South Moravian Region for the KDU-CSL and won despite beginning in second place.

In February 2014, Klaška became the first deputy chairman of the KDU-CSL.
