Eva Richtrova

Eva Richtrová was born on June 11, 1948 in Ostrava. She is a Czech politician, Senator for District Frydek-Mistek, Mayor of the city of Frydek-Mistek and member of the Social Democrats.

Education

In 1971 she graduated from metal forming at the Faculty of Metallurgy, Mining University of Ostrava. After graduation, she joined the Research Institute of the steel industry. She left in 1976, when she went to teach at the Secondary Technical School in Frydek-Mistek. She worked there until 1998. At the Faculty of Palacky University in Olomouc she got a postgraduate teacher education.

Political career

In the period 1998-2002 she held the post of deputy mayor. Since 2002 she has been the Mayor of the city Frydek-Mistek for eight years. In 2008 she was elected a Senator for the district Frydek-Mistek. Senator Eva Richtrova attends regularly the traditional gala evening rewarding blood donors for their support of the society organised by Regional Association of the Czech Red Cross in Frydek-Mistek.
