Roelof van Laar was born on the 19th of May 1981 in Berkel en Rodenrijs. He is a politician in the Dutch House of Representatives for the Labour Party (PvdA).

Political career[edit]

Between 2006-2012 he was a member of the city council in Leiden. However, between 2008 and 2013 he was the director of 'Stop Child Abuse' (Stop Kindermisbruik).

Education[edit]

He did a Bachelor in Political Science at the University of Leiden.
