Thomas Gambke (16 October 1949 in Rimsting) is a German politician (Alliance 90 / The Greens). Gambke has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2009.

Gambke has been a member of the Greens since 2004. Gambke has been a member of the Bavarian Working Group of the Greens Business & Finance since 2005 and in 2008 he was elected as Speaker of the group. In 2009 Gambke was elected to the Bundestag.  In the Bundestag, he has been a member of the finance committee of the Bundestag and in the Enquete Commission on "Growth, prosperity , quality of life ".  He is deputy member of the Committee on Economics and Technology and the Committee on Education, Research and Technology Assessment. Moreover Gambke is Chairman of the ASEAN Parliamentary Group of the German Bundestag.

Subsequently, he became a researcher at the Institute for Solid State Physics at the TU Darmstadt and directed numerous scientific projects and activities in specialized centers around the world. Since 2004, he has been a member of the party Alliance 90/The Greens. Currently, he is the Chairman of the ASEAN Parliamentary Group, a Member of the German Bundestag and a member of the Finance Committee. Since 2012, he has been an SME representative of the Green Parliamentary Group and Member of the Commission of Inquiry growth, prosperity and quality of life

Gambke attended elementary school and high school in Bonn. In 1976 he graduated in Physics from the TU Darmstad and in 1981 he received the doctor title. Then he worked at the University of California at San Diego. From 1982 he then worked as a technology consultant at the VDI Technology Center in Berlin. In 1990 he took over the commercial management of the power plant in Landshut. There Gambke was responsible for operation , the internationalization of the business of Landshut. Thomas Gambke founded in 2006 with other partners MSG Lithoglas AG in Berlin. This company has gone into the MSG Lithoglas GmbH, based in Dresden. Thomas Gambke is currently a member of the advisory board of this company.
