Wouter Beke (CD&V)

Wouter Beke (9 August 1974) is a Belgian (Flemish) politician and member of the center-right catholic party CD&V.

Political career[edit]

Beke entered politics in his municipality Leopoldsburg and has been its mayor since 2013. He was elected senator in 2004 and in November 2013, was elected as chairman of the CD&V.

Education[edit]

Wouter Beke holds a Master degree in Social Law from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and in Political Sciences from K.U. Leuven. Furthermore, he has a PhD in the Social Sciences and is a researcher at Leuven Univeristy.
