Social structures created by sets of actors (organizations or individuals) and certain dyadic ties between those actors. A social network is a theoretical creation used by social scientists to study and understand relationships between individuals, groups, gatherings, organizations and societies. A social network can provide a useful method of analyzing the structure of whole social entities.
