Richard Graham

Richard Graham (born 4 April 1958) is a British Conservative Party politician, who joined the House of Commons in 2010 as the Conservative MP (Member of Parliament) for Gloucester.

Political career[edit]

He was Founding Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and Vice Chairman of the Board of Airline Representatives in the Philippines.

Graham joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1986. He was posted to Kenya (as Second, and later First, Secretary) in the British High Commission. He was First Secretary in the British Embassy in Peking, and then British Trade Commissioner to China from Hong Kong, and Consul for Macau from 1989-1992.

Graham was a councillor in the Cotswold District Council from 2003-2007, and Chairman of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee from 2006-2007. In 2006 he was selected as the Parliamentary Candidate for Gloucester.

Education[edit]

Graham studied at the Downs School in Colwall, Eton College and Christ Church College, Oxford University.
