Janet Neel Cohen

Janet Neel Cohen, Baroness Cohen of Pimlico (born July 4th 1940) is a British lawyer and crime fiction writer and sits as a Labour peer in the House of Lords.

Political Career[edit]

Baroness Cohen has been a peer since 2000. She has been on 8 different committees in that time, most of which have an economic bent, and this is one of her main interests. She has an interest in the relationship between the UK, the USA, Australia and New Zealand.

Education[edit]

She was educated at South Hampstead High School, Hampstead, London, England and graduated from Newnham College, Cambridge University in 1962 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Honours, Law.

Notable Work[edit]

She was governor of the BBC between 1994 and 1999. She has also been Chancellor of BPP University College since 2008. She is a lawyer and crime fiction writer.
