Jane Bonham Carter, Baroness Bonham-Carter of Yarnbury was born 20 October 1957. She is a British Liberal Democrat politician.


Political career[edit]

She worked in television before becoming a peer in 2004. In 1996 she became the Liberal Democrats' Director of Communications. In 2004 she became a life peer as Baroness Bonham-Carter of Yarnbury, in the County of Wiltshire, and she also became spokesperson on Broadcasting and the Arts.


Education[edit]

She studied at St. Paul's Girls' School, an independent school in Brook Green, Hammersmith and at University College London, part of London University.
