Godfrey John Bewicke-Copley

Godfrey John Bewicke-Copley, 7th Baron Cromwell, born on 4th March 1960, is a British hereditary Peer and member of the House of Lords. He is the Director of the British-Georgian Chamber of Commerce, and the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce.

Political Career[edit]

He was an active member of the House of Lords until 1999, when he lost his seat because of the House of Lords Act. In 2014 he was elected to sit in the House of Lords at a crossbench hereditary peers' by-election.

Education[edit]

He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England, and Selwyn College in the University of Cambridge.

Notable Work[edit]

Lord Cromwell is the Director of the Britain-Russia Centre and The British East-West Centre, which is the longest established UK non-government organisation dedicated to working with Russia and the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
