Born in Bacau, Romania 1968, is a Romanian politician member of the Conservative Party (PC), he sat in the Romanian Senate from 2004 to 2008 representing Teleorman County, and represented Romania in the European Parliament from 2009 to 2014.

Political Career[edit]

George Sabin Cutas has held a number of prominent roles. He has participated as a member in the Political Executive of the Romanian Conservative Party; a membership he has held since 2004. In addition to this, he was also a Senator between 2004 and 2008; Vice President of the Romanian senate (2005-2006); Deputy Leader of the Conservative Party parliamentary group (2007-2008). From 2009 to the present, he has been a Member of the European Parliament; he has participated in the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and democrats and has been a Member in the Committee on International Trade, the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and has partaken in the Delegation for Relations with the Korean Peninsula.

Education[edit]

He has completed a Business Management course in Amsterdam; an MBA program at the Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest; and has also completed a course at the National Defence College in Security and Governance; he is currently enrolled as a Doctoral student in the faculty of Management at the Academy of Economic Studies.
