Elizabeth Doocey, Baroness Doocey OBE is a British Liberal Democrat politician, member of the House of Lords, businesswoman, and a former Chair of the London Assembly.

Political Career[edit]

Baroness Doocey was appointed a Life Peerage to the House of Lords on the 21st December 2010. She has been a member of a number of Committees including: the Refreshment Committee from 2010, the Draft Enhanced Terrorism Prevention and Investigation Measures Bill in 2012, the Olympic and Paralympic Legacy Committee in 2013 and the Draft Modern Slavery Bill in 2014.

Notable Work[edit]

Baroness Doocey was a councillor and the chair of Housing Committee for London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames between 1983 and 1990. She became Finance Director of the Liberal Party/ Liberal Demo-crats between 1981-91, she joined group MD of the Trivoville Group between 1992 and 1994 and moved to the role of Management Consultant at DD Enterprises between 1994-03. She became a member of the London Assembly as the chair of the assembly’s Economic Development, Culture, Sport and Tourism Com-mittee from 2004-12. This committee helped prepare the 2012 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in London.
