David Lytton-Cobbold

David Antony Fromanteel Lytton-Cobbold, 2nd Baron Cobbold (born July 14th,1937) is one of the ninety hereditary peers elected to remain in the House of Lords after the passing of the House of Lords Act 1999 and replaced Myrtle Robertson, 11th Baroness Wharton on October 15th, 2000.

Political Career[edit]

Baron Cobbold has been a peer since 2000 and in that time has held 2 major committee positions: he was a member of the Lords Works of Art Commitee between 1998 and 1999 and again between 2002 and 2005. Between 2004 and 2007 he was a member of EU Sub-Committee A - Economic and Financial Affairs, and International Trade. As a crossbench peer, he lacks a party loyalty and as such is not subject to a whip. He has an interest in foreign relations involving China, France and Kenya.

Education[edit]

David Lytton-Cobbold studied at Eton and went on to study at Cambridge.
