Daniela Musiol, born on September 8, 1970 in Mödling (Lower Austria), is an Austrian politician, lawyer, mediator, social worker and has been a Member of Parliament for the Greens (Die Grünen) since 2008.

Political career[edit]

Daniela Musiol has been a delegate to the national convention of the Greens Austria since 2005. With the national election in 2008, Musiol obtained a seat as MP for the Greens in the National Council. She has been working there since October 28, 2008 as Family and Constitution spokeswoman and as Democracy Political Officer for the Greens. Her special focus is on family policy in the field of elementary education and the recognition of nurseries and kindergartens as the first non-family educational institution and democratic politics in a fundamental reform of direct democracy and citizen participation.

Education[edit]

After attending the Vienna Elementary School (1977-1981) and the Bundesgymnasium Vienna (1981-1989), Musiol went to the Academy for Social Work of the City of Vienna from 1990 to 1993. She then enrolled at the University of Vienna and studied Sociology and Law (1993-2000).
