Brendan Griffin (born March 1982) is an Irish Fine Gael politician. A former publican, he was elected as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Kerry South constituency at the 2011 general election.

Political Career[edit]

He was elected to the Dáil in February 2011 from the Kerry South constituency, topping the poll with 8,808 first preference votes. He had previously served as a member of Kerry County Council since June 2009, when he was elected from the Dingle Electoral Area. He also contested the 2004 local election in the same area, after which he worked as Parliamentary Assistant to Jimmy Deenihan TD, until 2007, when he established his own business. In Leinster House, Brendan is a very active participant in Dáil and Committee work and is a frequent contributor at internal Fine Gael policy discussions.
