Bryony Worthington is a Labour Party member of the House of Lords. She joined the House of Lords in January 2011.

Political Career[edit]

She is currently Shadow Spokesperson on Energy and Climate Change, and is an Opposition Whip.

Notable Work[edit]

Before becoming a Life Peer in the House of Lords, Baroness Worthington worked for an environmental charity in the 1990s before working for Friends of the Earth as a climate change activist. She went on to work for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, helping to draft the Climate Change Bill. She then became head of government relations for Scottish and Southern Energy.
