Alexis Bachelay

Alexis Bachelay (born August 19, 1973) is a French Socialist Party member of the National of Assembly of France, representing the first district of Hauts-de-Seine in Northern France.

Political Career[edit]

Bachelay began working in politics in 2008 when he became Deputy Mayor of Colombes, a large commune in Northern Paris. Bachelay was put in charge of sustainable development, transport and parking and served as Deputy Mayor until 2012 when he was elected to the French National Assembly.

In 2012, Bachelay was elected to the National Assembly for the first district of Hauts-de-Seine. Almost immediately, Bachelay became a member of the Committee on Sustainable Development and Spatial Planning. He also became a member of the French National Council of the Socialist Party in 2013.

Since becoming a member of the National Assembly, Bachelay has worked on a number of projects, including the Grand Paris Commission and improving the quality of life for older immigrants.

Education[edit]

Bachelay studied Communication and Political Science at the University of Paris Sorbonne.
