Alessandra Moretti

Alessandra Moretti is a member of parliament of the Italian Chamber of Deputies for the seventeenth legislation.

Education and Professional Career[edit]

Born in 1973 in Vicenza, she graduated in Law at the University of Urbino. After her degree she worked as a civil lawyer. She has also been Vice-Major in her home-town and assessor for youth policies.

Political Career[edit]

Alessandra Moretti was elected in the 2013 general elections in the Veneto region for the “Partito Democratico” and more recently won in the north-east of Italy to the European Parliamentary. She has been a member of the commission for transport, postal services and telecommunications, justice, infantry and part of an inquiry commission on counterfeiting.

Special Achievements[edit]

Hon. Moretti defines herself to be passionate about her job and about politics, independent and a reformist. She cares in particular about the rights of women and right to education, as well as equal opportunities and reduction of social disparities; a path that brought her very far, even to the US, where she attended a workshop on leadership organized by the Obama administration.
