Alejandro Fernández Álvarez

Alejandro Fernández Álvarez, born 30 May 1976, is a member of the Spanish Chamber of Deputies representing the Spanish province of Tarragona, Cataluña. Fernández Álvarez is a member of the People’s Party, Partido Popular (PP) and he is a member of the People’s Party Parliamentary Group, Grupo Popular (GP) within the Chamber of Deputies.

Political Career[edit]

Fernández Álvarez has been an MP for the Partido Popular from Tarragona for one term, since 2011. Previously, he was the Provincial People’s Party President of Tarragona. He was also a PP spokesman in the city of Tarragona. Nowadays, in the Chamber of Deputies Fernández Álvarez is a spokesman of the Commission of Economy and Competitiveness, and a member of the Commission of Public Works, of the Committee on Education and Sports and of the Committee on Culture.

Alejandro Fernández Álvarez has a BA in Political Science and Public Administration from the University Autónoma of Barcelona (UAB). Additionally, he holds a master in Political Communication from the University Autónoma of Barcelona (UAB) and he is a professor of Political Science at the URV (Tarragona University).
