Born in November 02, 1971 in Amhara Region Alemketema town Ababi Demissie is serving currently as Acting General Director-General Public Diplomacy and Communications Directorate General.

Political Career[edit]

Ambassador Ababi joined the Ministry in 2010 and served as Deputy Head of Mission at the Ethiopian Embassy in Beijing from 2010-2012. Prior joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ababi served as Chairperson of Rural Development Affairs Standing Committee of the House of Peoples Representatives.He is also currently serving as member of the parliament for a second term. He also served as Head of Department of the Agriculture of North Shoa Zone of Amhara National Regional State (2002-2005). He served as Head of Agricultural office. He started in public service as Agro economist.

Education[edit]

He obtained a BA Degree in Agricultural Economics from Alemaya/Haromaya University and an MA from Addis Ababa University in Federal Studies in 2008.
