Saskia Esken

Saskia Esken is a member of the SPD and was born on August 28, 1961 in Stuttgart, Germany. She is a computer scientist by profession.

Political Career[edit]

Esken is the deputy Chairwoman of the State Parent’s Council of Baden-Württemberg; member of the State Executive Committee of the Social Democratic Association for Local Policy; founding member of the CALW Alliance against The Right; founding member of the Citizens' Initiative of Tälesbach. Further, she is a member of the BUND and Greenpeace as well as the trade union Verdi and the NGO campact, of Women Helping Women CALW eV, the women's network Freudenstadt and other small local clubs. Esken is a councillor, county councilor; regional councillor, as well as a SPD Local and District Association chairman.

Education[edit]

In 1990, she completed her dual training to become certified computer scientist.
