Marthese Portelli, born the 27th of May, 1976, is a member of the Maltese Parliament.

Political Career[edit]

During her career, Marthese Portelli held various managerial positions within organizations specializing in IT, Marketing and waste management, including Operations Manager, Project Manager and Legal & Commercial Manager.

Her first involvement in politics was in 1998, when she was elected Vice-President of KSU on the behalf of the SDM. From there, she was also appointed as a member of the Gender Issues Committee of the University of Malta. Then, in 2007, she represented the Ministry for Justice and Home Affairs Council on children.

Marthese Portelli has been the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the PN and she has witnessed and participated in the process of renewal and internal change taking place within the party. Marthese was also directly involved in the campaign of Local Councils elections of 2008 and 2012.

In the general election of 2013 she was elected Member of Parliament from the 9th District.

Education[edit]

In 2002, Marthese Portelli graduated as a lawyer from the University of Malta, with a specialization in commercial law and ICT .
