Mark Gruebel, born 15th October 1959 in Esslingen am Neckar, he is a German politician (CDU).

Political career[edit]

1984 Gruebel joined both the CDU and the Junge Union (JU). From 1986 to 1990 he was a member of the JU - District Executive Esslingen.

Gruebel in 1989 was a member of the City Council of Esslingen. Within this position from 1994 to 2002 he was Chairman of the CDU faction. From 1999 to 2002 he was also a member of the district council of the district of Esslingen.

Since 2002 he was a member of the German Bundestag. He served on the Committee for Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and the Defence Committee at the17th legislature. Mark Gruebel since December 2013 was Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Defence. Gruebel is a member of the European Union Parliamentarians representing the German Bundestag.

Education[edit]

After graduation in 1978 from the Moerike School in Esslingen, Gruebel served from 1978 to 1979 in the military and then graduated from 1979-1984 as a notary from the Notary Academy Baden-Württemberg.
