Klaus-Dieter Gröhler

Klaus-Dieter Gröhler is a member of the CDU/CSU and was born on April 17, 1966 in Berlin, Germany. He is a lawyer by profession.

Political Career[edit]

From 1991 to 2000, Gröhler was a member of the Borough Council of Berlin-Charlottenburg. He has been chairman of the Building Committee there since 1992, and since 1994 chairman of the CDU/CSU fraction. Between 1996 and 2000, he worked in the Senate Department for Construction, Housing and Transportation, and the Senate Department for Urban Development. He has been active as a part-time examiner at common law examinations board Berlin-Brandenburg since 1999,. From 01.01.2001 to 06.12.2001, Gröhler was appointed as the district councillor for economy, personnel and administration in the now merged district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. Between 06.12.2001 and 27.10.2011, he was the deputy district mayor and city council member for the construction industry. With the federal election and the elections to the Borough Assembly in the fall of 2011, Gröhler was appointed on 27.10.2011 as Deputy County Mayor and County Councillor for Citizen services, education, culture, building construction and real estate.

Education[edit]

Gröhler studied law at the FU Berlin, and completed his second state exam in 1995, specializing in state- and administrative law.
