Karin Binder

Karin Binder is a member of The Left Party and was born on August 29, 1957 in Stuttgart. She is a business administrator and trade union secretary by profession.

Political Career[edit]

Between 1975 and 1998, Binder was a member of the SPD in functions at the local, district and state levels as well as in the State Executive Committee of the Association for Labour Affairs. From 1990 to 1992, she worked as a councillor in Stuttgart. in 2005 she became a member of the former WASG(which merged into The Left Party in 2007). From 2000 to 2003, she was a spokeswoman for the Constance Network against The Right. Binder has been a member of the Bundestag since 2005; and the spokeswoman for consumer policy of The Left Party in the Bundestag since November 2009, and until September 2013, she was working as a parliamentary secretary.

Binder has a degree in business administration.
