Jan Bury

Jan Bury born on 1st October 1963 in Przeworsk, Poland. He is a Polish politician, lawyer and a Member of Parliament (I,II, IV, V, VI and VII cadency).

Political Career[edit]

In 1983 he joined the Polish People’s Party, and then he became the member of Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe (PSL). He was a member of Parliament for two terms between 1991 and 1997. From 1998 to 2001 he was a member of the council for Podkarpackie. He returned to Parliament after a four-year break in 2001 and during the fourth term he was a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Culture and Media Committee of the Treasury, as well as Vice-President of the Commission of Inquiry. In the parliamentary elections of 2005, he successfully ran for re-election. In the 2007 elections, he won a parliamentary seat for the fifth time to the district of Rzeszów. Once again he was elected to Parliament in the elections in 2011. He was a representative of the Parliament IV, V and VI tenure at the National Judicial Council and president of the provincial structures of the PSL in Rzeszow. In 2007 he was appointed Secretary of State in the Ministry of the Treasury. In 2011 he was elected chairman of the Parliamentary Club PSL. These duties officially took place until the 8th of November 2011. In July 2012 he resigned from the post of Secretary of State in the Ministry of Treasury.

Education[edit]

In 1990 he graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration from the University of Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin.
