Józefina Hrynkiewicz – (born on 7th October 1945 in Daniuszewo, Poland) is a Polish sociologist, professor of humanities, university teacher and a Member of the Parliament (VII term).

Political Career[edit]

She has worked with the Institute of Public Affairs (since 2000), the Social Insurance Institution, the Office of Research of the Chancellery of the Parliament (1991-1995), the Chancellery of the Senate (since 1990). In 1992-1993 she was an advisor to the government about Social policy. In 1994-1996 she served as Secretary of the Supervisory Board of Polish Radio. From 1997 to 2002 she was a member and Vice-President of the Economic and Social Council at the Governmental Centre for Strategic Studies, and from 2006 to 2008 director of the National School of Public Administration. She was also appointed as a member of the Social Council of the Polish Episcopate (2001), she was also Vice-President of the Governmental Population Council (1999). In 2007-2009 she was on the Board of the Public Service of the Prime Minister.

In the parliamentary elections in 2011 she was elected to the Parliament as a nonparty candidate from the Law and Justice list in the district of Rzeszów.

Education[edit]

She graduated from the Faculty of Psychology and Education at the University of Warsaw. Then she obtained a PhD degree in 1990 from the Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology. In 2006 she received the title of professor of humanities. She specializes in conditions and strategies of social policy, social determinants of demographic development and the development of local social movements and civil initiatives.
