Ioannis Plakiotakis

Ioannis Plakiotakis was born in Athens in 1968. He is a Greek politician and Biochemical Engineer – Entrepreneur.

Political Career[edit]

He was elected within the New Democracy as MP for Lassithi Prefecture in 2004, 2007 and 2009. He was appointed Deputy Minister of National Defence on October 19th, 2007 and 
Assistant Head of Tourism Section of the New Democracy Party. He was also a member of the Parliamentary Committees for Production and Trade, Environment Protection, Religion and Orthodoxy.

Education Career[edit]

He studied Biochemistry Engineer in the university of Wales. After he completed his bachelor he did his MSc in Biochemical Engineering in the university of London and Business Administration in City University Business School. He speaks English and French.

Notable Work[edit]

He was a member of the New Democracy Party since 1987. He was Municipal Advisor of Sitia Municipality from 1990 to 2002. He is a member of the Graduates’ Association of London Biochemical Engineering University and of City University Business School.
