Georgios Vlachos
Georgios Vlachos was born in Lefkada in 1953. He is a Greek politician and Agriculturist.
Political Career[edit]
He was elected as MP with the New Democracy for Attiki in the 2000, 2004, 2007 and 2009 general elections. He participated in the following Standing Parliamentary Committees: Standing Committee on Social Affairs, Position: Member Standing Committee on Public Administration, Public Order and Justice and Position: Member Standing Committee on Cultural Affairs.
Education Career[edit]
Graduate from the Agricultural University of Athens. He speaks English.
Notable Work[edit]
He was a member of the ND Central Committee since March 1997; he was responsible to the ND Culture and Athletics section for basketball and cycling, as well as security and transport for the Olympic Games. He was the secretary of the ND Organisational Section until October 1999. Additionally, he was a member of the Executive Committee of ONNED (The ND Youth Organisation) secretary of DAP-NDFK and the ND student organisation (1979-1982). He was a member of the Central Council of the National Union of Students (EFEE) (1975-1977).
