Georgia Batsara

Georgia Batsara was born in Polidendri Imathias. She is a Greek politician and retired teacher of Mathematics. Elected as an MP for the first time in the elections of 17th June 2012 with New Democracy party.

Political Career[edit]

Got involved in political activities as a member of the New Democracy student party of Thessaloniki. Member of New Democracy Youth Imathia and member of the Prefectural Union of. Imathia. Took an active post in the union movement of the Independent Democratic Movement of Teachers. Member of the Mathematical Society Board (Imathia Branch). Acting Prefect of Popular Education in Imathia Worked in Local Government Groups. Prefectural Advisor of Imathia Prefecture 2007-2010. Vice Prefect 2009  Regional Advisor of Imathia from 01.01.2011.

Education Career[edit]

Graduated in Mathematics from Aristotelio University of Thessaloniki. (Mathematics Department),  Postgraduate Diploma Masters in Studies of Education from the Greek Open University. A Masters Degree in Administrative School Units, University of Macedonia. She speaks English and German.
