Culture

E. Adamson Hoebel, a leading anthropologist of the twentieth century, described culture as an integrated and complex system of learned behavior patterns which are characteristic to the members of a certain society and which are not a result of biological inheritance. The term is also used to define the capacity of an evolved human being to classify and express experiences with symbols (such as pieces of art, music, ideas), and to act in a creative way.
