Cultural Liberty

Centered on the belief that all individuals have the basic right to choose as well as express their religious and cultural identities in a pluralistic society. cultural liberty is considered an essential element of “human development”, because the freedom to choose one’s identity and manifest one’s beliefs openly, as long as they don’t impinge on the rights of others, allows a person to lead a more enriching life. Cultural liberty also encompasses the idea that citizens should not be excluded from the activities of mainstream society, and should be able to participate in society despite cultural differences.
